about gradiators

Gradiators is a moment of unity in the Caltech graduate school community. If by "community" you mean "intense, hardcore competition." Gradiators is field day for people grown up enough to be in grad school. Some people say it is the best day of the year.

Gradiators is 6 events that challenge, entertain, and unite your crew of ~10 scholars. Don't have a team? Don't worry, you can join one on the day of. Want to improve your chances of winning? FORM A BALANCED AND STRONG TEAM! The reward for winning is eternal glory in the GSC Hall of Fame.

Want to get a leg up on the competition? Study these games and develop your best strategy:

• Human Battleship - Teams lie on opposite sides of a volleyball net and alternate throwing 'bombs' at the other side. Extra points for sinking a Human Battleship with 3 hits!
• Dizzy Bat - Teams line up in parallel single file lines and relay race to the Dizzy Bat where only the strong survive!
• Competitive Ball Toss - Teams alternate tossing balls into the opposing team's bins!
• Team Puzzle - Teams must work together toward a common purpose to solve the challenge!
• MYSTERY EVENTS - Gradiators is full of surprises. Find out what will be new to 2009!
